RE: STEDTRAIN Donation Request Letter
Dear HATS and STEDTRAIN Members and Friends —
The Huntsville Association of Technical Societies (HATS) is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization comprised of Huntsville-area technical and professional societies dedicated to advancing science and engineering technology, processes, vocations, and awareness. The primary characteristic of vocation advancement is the perpetuation and promotion of science and engineering through educational engagement and community outreach. As a subcommittee of HATS, STEDTRAIN’s mission is to serve the K-12 education community through the STEDTRAIN Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Educational Grants program. Last year, STEDTRAIN funded nine (9) STEM grant proposal from local-area teachers requesting a total of over $18,400.
This year, we received 25 proposals that would require $46,120 to fund. We have a reserve of $1,600 remaining in the bank, so we need to raise a minimum of $44,500 to fully-fund all of these STEM grant proposals in our community’s K-12 classrooms. Your donation not only helps fund STEM classroom instruction programs across North Alabama and South-Central Tennessee; it informs and excites student interest in STEM to encourage them to pursue a rewarding career in STEM with their professional ideas being the catalyst to technically advance our society!
The benefits of donating to STEDTRAIN include:
- Introducing students to classroom-based, STEM activities and projects;
- Encouraging the next generation to pursue a career in a STEM-related field;
- Participating in community outreach to support K-12 students;
- Company/organization special recognition at the annual (1) STEDTRAIN Awards Ceremony and
- (2) Final Report Presentations Conference with the opportunity to address the attendees;
Company/Organization name, logo, and website hyperlink on STEDTRAIN website;
- Company/Organization name, logo, and website hyperlink on HATS website; and
- Providing a charitable, tax donation to a 501(c)3, nonprofit organization.
We put a man on the moon; let's help our children reach the stars! To support STEDTRAIN's mission to fund STEM education in our K-12 schools, visit https://stedtrain.org/donate to provide a monetary donation.
